The Slide n' Dry Pegless Clothesline is the little bit of camp kit that quietly makes the whole trip easier - you just slide the clothes into the slots and walk away.

It's Australian made, UV-stabilised for our sun, and it packs down into a zip-lock bag smaller than a lunchbox. Twelve clickable slides means you set the length to whatever space you've got - the full 2 metres between two trees, or a short run under the awning at a packed holiday park.

It actually holds heavy stuff. Rated to 40kg, so wet towels, jeans and a full load of nappies aren't a problem. The slides grip - they don't stretch out and sag like the elastic-style lines do after a season in the sun.

How to use it

Questions we get asked

Will it fit on a caravan awning?
Yes. That's exactly what it was designed for. The bungee hooks attach to awning arms, roof rails, trees or balcony rails, and you can shorten the line by clipping fewer slides together.

Can it hold jeans and towels, or just light stuff?
Both. It's rated to 40kg, so heavy wet towels, jeans and jackets are fine.

Will it survive an outback summer?
The plastic is UV-stabilised specifically for Australian conditions, so it resists going brittle and fading. This is the main reason we chose this line over the cheap elastic ones.

How is this different to a pegless elastic clothesline?
The twisted-elastic ones lose their stretch — after a few trips your washing slides down into a pile in the middle. These are rigid slides, so the grip doesn't fade over time.

How small does it pack down?
Small enough to live permanently in a drawer, a glovebox or a camp kitchen tub. It comes in its own zip-lock bag.

Is it good for nappies and baby clothes?
